Artome's new use for the salad bowl, also not safety approved!
Statue of Soviet Soldier
Not safety approved playground equipment. Here is some steel log rolling fun. The amusement park rides in this place look to be at least second hand. Jim and I thought it looked like the Fun Forest at The Seattle Center if they had NO maintenance budget. Scary!
The warm weather brought out the families to the Lake Park and even the ferris wheel was running.
A little later we took the giant stroller to the Lake Park, and let the kids out. Cecelia and Katja at the still frozen lake.
We could not resist this chicken in a pita place. We have walked by it numerous times since our first days here. It is down in one of the tunnels near the TSUM, and this young lady allowed me to take her picture while she made our sandwiches. I wish I could of captured her mother, who was seated just to the right, and asking who I was, and why was she being photographed.
We took our kids and sandwiches down the block, and had a lunch with Katja and Artome, both of whom were sleeping by the time we got there. The pita sandwiches were awesome by the way, and now that 9 hours have passed by since we ate, we can safely assume we will go back again for more!
After their bath, a little relaxing with some books before bedtime.
We had a good time today out with the kids as the weather continues to be sunny and pretty mild. We are very excited that tomorrow marks the beginning of our last week here. We're more than ready to come home! Nothing against Karaganda, but we are really starting to feel how long we have been gone! The Winter Olympics were just starting when we left Seattle and Spring Training will be over when we get back! The Super Bowl seems like years ago!
Again, it would be fun to see what this place is like during the late spring and summer, this is one of many huge fountains. Have fun, Motrys!
She make a sandwich with exuberance, and puts the hot sauce on from above her head.
