This morning I (Cecelia) was feeling extremely under the weather and spent a good portion of the morning on the couch dozing and watching BBC World News. I have had a constant cold since I got here but it has had it's ebbs and flows and usually I am able to function. This morning I finally felt like I couldn't stand up. Anyway, after poor Jim entertained the kids all morning I was ready to go this afternoon! Katja and Artome were very sweet as they kept coming up to me as I was sleeping on the couch to check on me. Katja started bringing me cheerios!
After watching me in this position all morning, Artome figured out that it is the most comfortable spot in the house! He spent a lot of time here this afternoon! He is not getting the TV remote yet.
Good times with Kukla. Katja still keeps this one close, and so far the batteries still work so she can make her cackle.
At the Baby House neither Katja or Artome thought this was fun, but now.....Fun!
Jim and a rare cigar! I told him that if he did this back in Seattle they'd call DSHS! We didn't get a second look as he strolled the children down the street puffing away.
Our big outing for today
I was trying to show Katja that she should smile for everyone back home and she took it literally and copied me!
Listening to some music that Jim downloaded onto our laptop before we left home. It is very nice to listen to some music from home. Russian rap is worse than the rap in the US. Anything to keep them occupied. Artome really liked Arlo Guthrie's "City of New Orleans", and Katja thought playing the spoons was some sort of magic trick.
Our tree lined boulevard. Trees still bare, we would like to see what this city looks like in the spring and summer.
