Our apartment had some breakable dishes and glassware so we bought a plastic salad bowl set for about $ 2.10, Of course it was the favorite toy of the day.
The drying rack creaking under the load of laundry now for four.
Here is the Texas sized stroller we found with Nastia's help today. We were tired of being basically homebound, or out only as far as you can carry two kids. There are not many ramps or anything on the curbs, so it's like four wheeling. Especially with the persistant mudpuddles from the still melting ice. However, it was a beautiful day, and we all enjoyed being out in the fresh air and sunshine.
In preparation for Muslim New Year some yurts have been erected in a square. Tomorrow is a National Holiday here with parades and a lot of partying! We were told by Nastia to stay away from the crowds and stay near home. I guess it is similar to staying away from Pioneer Square in Seattle on Fat Tuesday! Good idea!
As we were out and about, we decided to take the kids for their first restaurant meal. Mario Pizza, of course! Artome slept through the whole thing, and Katja enjoyed it enough for both of them!
More salad bowl fun
Our little Ann Margaret. (sp?)
First bath! We ran out of hot water before they were ready to get out of the Russian spa.
They seemed out of sorts about running around before bed with wet hair so I suggested to Jim to try the hair dryer. (I haven't even used it since I am paranoid about blowing a fuse!) They loved it and were fascinated! My gosh, can you imagine what they are going to think once we get home and see every little convenience we have?
Katja made sure that Kukla also had her hair dried!
What a beautiful little girl!
Today we called Nastia to ask her advice on shopping for strollers. She was free to join us and more than happy to help. We did need some language help, and it was nice to spend some time with her. We kind of miss our old routine of going to the Baby House every day, and she missed seeing the kids.
