It is quite difficult to get any decent shots of the local dog population. They are usually quite wary of people, and are travelling in groups of two to four. By the time we get the camera turned on they are usually gone. However, out for a run this morning, this big black fellow followed me for two blocks, and I caught a couple of others out and about.
Here is where I ran out of road, and the trail above did not look very inviting. Big steam lines coming from a coal fired power plant still some miles away.
Two entries for the Booze Hut enthusiasts today. Above is this after thought, sort of attached to the corner of this apartment house, open for coffee, tea or whatever at 0700.
Then this sort of theme park Booze Hut appropriatly called "The Barrel". Nastia says it is a nice place and we would like it. More soon! Apparently, this means it serves food! :)
Added bonus (of course!) was visiting the children. There is a small outbreak of flu that seems to be going around so the Doctor and caregivers are kind of keeping everyone apart.
Tomorrow at 2:30 pm we will appear in court to hopefully get a favorable decision regarding our adoption of Katja and Artome. We are nervous, but feel ready. Basically, we have been working towards this day since early April of 05 when we signed our contract with WPA! The next best date will be when we land in Seattle with our two beautiful kids! (early April)
This evening we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Cosmonaut Hotel (again, forgot to get photos!) with Antonio, Julia, Sally, Evan, Kimba and their interpretor. ( a smart, wonderful, young woman and I can't remember her name!) It was a great evening and we really enjoyed ourselves! We are so happy that we can spend time with such fun and nice people while we're here. It really helps during a long trip like this.
We will post ASAP after tomorrow's court appearance. However, we are taking Nastia and Natasha and significant others out for a celebration dinner at the Armenian Restaurant tomorrow evening, so it might be a late post!. We promise to get photos! Keep us in your thoughts! The court appearance will be happening at 12:30 am Seattle time!
Like we said, out of all the toys we bought, the simple things seem to keep them entertained!
