Hanging out with the kids and meeting new families
Katja tucks in Kukla
Nastia and kids. Katja and Artome both love her. She is a natural with children! (all of us adults love her too!)
Another day in the hallway and we are breaking out all manner of toys, or anything that may keep the kid's attention.
Today, we met two other couples from WPA that arrived in Karaganda on Wednesday night. We ran into them at the Baby House this morning. One couple is from Atlanta and the other from DC. We are looking forward to getting to know them and are planning to go out to dinner sometime soon.
Other than that, today was pretty much the same. Great times with the kids (no tear-jerking stories today) and a nice lunch at Assorti with Nastia. Assorti is an awesome place for food. If they had one in Seattle there would be a line out the door. Everything we have ordered there has been out of this world!
Katja broke into a cleaning frenzy this afternoon, much to the delight of her Mom. (some of you may know that I am sort of a cleaning freak!) No comments, please. :)
Swiffer sheets, and Mr. Proper are what we should have brought today!
Artome copies big sister. Quite funny to watch. You never know what these two will find amusing.
More on food; beef stew with rice and vegetables. Sides of beet and cabbage vinegrette, & chicken salad with mayo. Excellent!
Heavenly spiced ground beef with onions in a pastry shell.
Fun with balloons and puzzle frames
Katja dusted the entire room. If we haven't said it before, the Baby House is spotless. Apparently, Katja has been studying the Baby House staff!
