Out for a run today on the frozen streets of Karaganda. A good way to explore the neighboorhood.
The streets have been slowly melting out following some warm afternoons, but many are still icy in the mornings.
This park near our Apartment has good trails & no traffic.
This nice lady stopped me to ask what kind of person (she may have used the word idiot) would be outside without a hat on. I explained that I was plenty warm, and almost home. She was very friendly and outgoing. She said it would be O.K. to take our picture.
Along the way; one of the more interesting pieces of architecture. A cafe-in-a-bus-in-a-building. Entrance through bus.
Further along; a back street with steam lines that heat buildings, and burning garbage. Saw a few dogs and cats rummaging around in the trash heap.
The Klondike Disco Club, and rows of storage sheds.
Katja was working at sorting the shoe collection. Only brown ones out, and straightening the laces.
Afternoon visit was filled with more Kukla hijinx.
Katja built a fort, asked Kukla over, then threw her out.
