Today we were able to see a monthly birthday show for the kids with February birthdays in the Baby House. They sang songs, danced, played a game similar to Musical Chairs and had a relay race! It was unbelievably cute and I (Cecelia) got a little teary eyed watching these adorable, loving kids having such a good time.
It was a fine day outside so we took the kids out for a stroll with Antonio and Julia. Lady in green is also Spanish, adopting her child with another agency, visiting our Baby House today. No crying at the door from Katja today, she was very happy outside with her tambourine. We think she's going to be just fine the day we take her out of the baby House for good.
Katja loves to look at the Russian Dictionary, and drink fron the water bottle. She also wants more lap time, which is an awesome feeling. She runs to us and holds out her arms to be held.
Artome ends up playing with this doll at least once a day. Who knows how much abuse this poor thing has suffered over the years. Artome manages to pull one of her legs off each day, which upsets Katja. Nastia rebraided her hair one day. Apparently it used to talk because she has a speaker in her back. We are looking for a replacement battery, because we are curious as to what she has to say! Yes, we're weird, but when you spend 4 hours a day in the Baby House in a little room, you'd be obsessed with the kukla too!
Meet Kukla. Don't stare into her eyes too long, you'll become hypnotized! The kids are so attached to her that we either need to search Karaganda for another one or start plotting a dollnapping.
This little boy is getting extra attention because today is his birthday! His smile lit up the whole room.
