Out and about on Sunday
With just a morning visit with the children we were once again out and about on the empty Sunday streets of Karaganda.

We notice that on Sundays there are a lot of families out together and a lot less car traffic.  A lot of people walk or take the bus.  Cool!
As for our morning visit, Katja is figuring out the sports water bottle.
And Artome discovers Honey Nut Cheerios,  and the mystery of two cheerios stuck together!
Oh happy day!  Jim found his brand of beer in Kaz!
Our ice-encrusted entrance to our apartment. (Dom, sweet dom!)
Our new apartment building
Across the street is this tower which we can see from all around town, which helps us navigate home. Notice the Kazakhstan Flags decorating the tower.

Johnnie Walker's Pub is becoming a Sunday tradition! Cheeseburger and fries, and deep fried calamari for a starter. Good times!  As for how cold it is, how cold do you think it is if I (Cecelia) wears a hood?  (risking the rest of the day with "hat head"?)  :)  Very cold!
Marlboro spoken here.  Also, a cactus that reminds me of Taco Time!
Above top is The Coal Miner's Palace and below is a statue in tribute of Coal Miners. Coal Mining is the resource that created and built the Karaganda region to what it is today.
